Wash Mafia Terms of Service

1. Health & Admittance

• General Wellbeing For the safety of your pet and our staff, we only accept dogs in good general health. Grooming of elderly, pregnant, or medically compromised dogs is undertaken with the owner’s informed consent and acknowledgment of increased risk.
• Vaccination Policy All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations. Wash Mafia reserves the right to request proof of vaccination at any time.
• Full Disclosure Owners must disclose any medical conditions, skin issues, allergies, or behavioural concerns prior to the appointment. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the service or additional charges.
• No Sedation We do not groom dogs that are under sedation under any circumstances.

2. Behavioural Safety

• Aggression The safety of our staff and animals is paramount. Wash Mafia reserves the right to refuse, stop, or reschedule grooming if a dog displays aggression or poses a safety risk.
• Handling Fees Dogs requiring additional time, care, or staff due to anxiety, resistance, or behavioural challenges may incur a handling fee.
• Owner Presence To ensure a calm and controlled environment, owners are required to remain out of sight during the grooming process.

3. Coat Condition & Pests

• Humane Grooming (Matting) We prioritise animal welfare and will not de-mat severely matted coats where this would cause pain or distress. In such cases, coats will be shaved to remove matting safely.
• Matting Risks Severe matting can conceal underlying skin conditions. While every reasonable precaution is taken, Wash Mafia is not liable for pre-existing skin issues, irritations, or minor nicks that may occur during necessary grooming procedures, unless caused by negligence.
• Flea Protocol If fleas are detected, a mandatory flea treatment will be administered to maintain hygiene standards. This service incurs an additional fee, which will be communicated at the time of treatment.

4. Appointments & Mobile Service

• Booking Requirements Appointments are only confirmed once all required information has been provided and a confirmation message has been issued. Without confirmation, no booking is secured.
• Cancellation Policy We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 100% of the booking value, depending on the circumstances.
• Mobile Routing Our routes are planned for efficiency. Last-minute changes may not be accommodated and can disrupt scheduled services.
• Arrival Window Please allow a 2-hour arrival window due to traffic and operational variables. We will communicate delays where possible.
• Split Sessions In cases of severe matting or behavioural stress, grooming may be split into multiple sessions to prioritise the dog’s wellbeing.

5. Liability & Emergencies

• Duty of Care Wash Mafia will take all reasonable care while handling your pet. However, grooming involves inherent risks, and we are not liable for injury, illness, or adverse reactions unless caused by proven negligence.
• Emergencies In the event of a medical emergency, you authorise Wash Mafia to seek immediate veterinary care. All associated costs remain the responsibility of the owner.
• Style Satisfaction We aim to meet your grooming preferences; however, the dog’s comfort and welfare take priority. Any concerns must be raised at the time of service completion. Adjustments requested later may incur additional charges.

6. Payments & Media

• Payment Terms All payments are due in full. EFT payments must reflect before the appointment begins. Card payments are due immediately upon completion.
• Late Payment & Interest If payment is not received within 3 (three) days of the service being rendered, interest will be charged on the outstanding balance at a rate of 5% per month, calculated daily, from the due date until payment is received in full. Wash Mafia reserves the right to suspend future bookings until all outstanding amounts are settled.
• Pricing & Surcharges All quotes are estimates. Final pricing may vary depending on coat condition, flea treatment, behaviour, or time required.
• Photography Wash Mafia may use photographs of your dog for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to have your dog featured, please notify us in writing prior to your appointment.

7. Agreement & Conduct

Code of Conduct: We maintain a respectful and professional environment. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards staff will result in immediate termination of services.
